For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those who have fallen--and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

This book was recommended to me after I read The Mortal Instruments series, since they both follow a story line involving Nephilim. This book defines Nephilim as a half-human being, one parent human, the other a fallen angel. I soon realized that the storyline didn't really follow the Nephilim, it followed a girl named Nora and a boy named Patch. Patch is mysterious and knows everything about Nora without having met her. Nora is drawn to him but also is terrified of him. Then Nora starts to see and hear things that are unexplainable, like falling off a roller coaster, then finding herself coming to a stop at the end of the ride. It's a great read that involves a lot of action. Although some scenes come out of nowhere while some chapters end with you going, what happened? The language is easy to read but keeps you excited to find out whats going to happen next. I was a little apprehensive about continuing the book after it talked about her feeling stalked and being watched. I don't feel comfortable with real life freaky stuff, but if you also get freaked out I recommend reading it during the day. All in all, it was entertaining and the romance was great.

Valentines Day, Book Love

Our first Valentine's Day was perfect. We both came home with little surprises for each other (I got red tulips, he got a display of hearts with candy attached)

(he already ate most of the candy)

Then we went to the movies (we're movie addicts). When we got home we cooked our best meal yet together: Filet Mignon Marsala. It was nice to do the things we love with each other and surprise each other while not going all out and spending a ton.

In other news, I went to the library today and grabbed 2 books. One I got from the online library loan thing where they loan books from other libraries when mine doesn't have it:

Candor by Pam Bachorz.

Then I looked around because each time I get a book from the library I finish it way before I expect and then have to wait a while to get the next one (because i usually do the book loan thing) I found:

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

I started Candor, pretty good so far. I'll work on Hush, Hush when I finish the first. And then maybe get my review on.
